Default Attempt to flower macro

I tried to photo some macro shots of flowers last weekend. Could you please give me some advice what to improve? Are the pictures sharp enough? What about the composition? I tried also to convert one of them to black and white? Is not there too much light?
Thank you, everyone!

Model: Canon EOS 450D
ISO: 400
Exposure: 1/100 sec
Aperture: 5.6

The daisies are stunning....makes me wish ours were in bloom but sadly, won't be for a while as they're calling for snow on Saturday. Welcome to DPS

My only suggestion would be to watch the sun - I am not nuts about the purple flower and its B/W version because of that very harsh shadow in the center. Usually sunlight can do that if photos are taken in the middle of the day when the sun beams straight down.
