Smile Crying Tulip- Emphasizing the details?

Hi, I took this picture today when visiting a local garden exhibit with tons of beautiful and vibrant flowers. This image is only slightly post processed (I adjusted the levels slightly, just touched the saturation and the shadow/highlights). I still feel like there is something missing in the details and wonder if I could have taken it a different way to emphasize these details a little more (the little strip of red along the pedals and little red specs within each pedal and the rain drops from the prior night's storm). The colors are so naturally vibrant, it should have been an easy image. Thanks for any tips on taking it differently in the first place, or possible post-processing that can still be done. This is a first post, and I'm anxious to get better and improve.

Default A good start

I missed the dew drops on the petals at first glance. Since you've titled it "Crying Tulips" and also discuss that detail in your comments, it seems like that's what you wanted to emphasize. Unfortunately, they're totally overwhelmed by the rest of the picture.

Right now, the shot is about a white tulip in front of a field of color. If you wanted to tell the story of rain drops on a tulip, I'd shoot tighter on that part, or play with the lighting to make the droplets sparkle.

I think it's a good picture as is, it's just not telling the story you were going for. Keep things simple at first, even if that means you have to sacrifice other cool elements and only focus on one detail.
