Default Ant dreaming to be a bee

Shot with D5000, VR 18-55mm
1/60s - F/5.6, iso 320

Love the title! I think that the white balance was set incorrectly when you took the picture, as it is very blue tinted and seems washed out. You should try to adjust the brightness and contrast to make it brighter and enhance the pinks. here's a quick edit in picassa

hey that cant be the same pic, lol. Thanks very much, I will definitely have a look at how to set up this on my camera, to be honest, I did not touch the white balance settings yet(set to auto).

WB is one of the things I always forget to adjust and it is the easiest way to save the post-pic editting! auto seems to be finicky on my cameras and tends to end up too blue. I like the crop too-- makes the title more applicable!

This pic is nice, but I suggest making the colors "pop" more, as the others have said. I use Picasa to do that. Click on the photo you would like to edit, go to the tuning tab, then adjust the Fill Light, Highlights, and Shadows. :-)
