Hi, beautiful image! Yes I think you should have used a wider aperture, not too wide to have all the blossoms in focus, but wide enough to blur the background more, maybe f4. The sharpening seems fine to me. The size ratio is a bit weird though... did you crop the top/bottom?

Hi,
Thanks for your comments. I was half buried in this tree trying to get a good sprig of blossom, hence the cropping out of branches etc. I sort of guessed the DOF was a little off, but I should be able to get a little more in pse. Also, having a closer look there's a couple of holes in some petals that need fixing too. Think I'll keep the tiny bug though. Dave |

I think the background is distracting from the flower but a nice shot still perhaps more bokeh i love bokeh.
