Ok, this guy just fell onto my front porch and was stunned while I managed to grab his portrait. Granted the background isn't ideal, but I was none too keen to make him irate while I ported him to more aesthetic environs. So as he was nicely sitting still... I grabbed my telephoto and triple-layered Kenko extensions and fired away!
![]() I was aiming to improve some of my technical skills with this shot--both for focus and DoF. Am wondering if anyone has comments for improvement in either area, or general feedback is always welcome as well! Camera: Canon EOS 7D Exposure: 0.125 sec (1/8) Aperture: f/11.0 Focal Length: 195 mm ISO Speed: 400 Exposure Bias: -1/3 EV Flash: Off, Did not fire

Definetely tripod and with cable release. No way my hands are that steady--I have learned my lesson the hard way, there! He is resting on my aggregate pebbled front porch.

Thanks, I will continue to seek out better backgrounds and more pleasing general composition, of course, for future shots--this was mainly a technical exercise for which i was looking for feedback.
