Default A rose among tulips

Your thoughts?

Doesn't really follow the rule of thirds, but I think centered works for it, especially because of the tulip in the foreground.

Hi, trudslev. Welcome to DPS

Adding your basic EXIF to Critique posts is a good habit to get into. It helps viewers better understand how you got the image.

If the center of your bloom is a strong point of interest, then it's close to that upper-left thirds intersect/mark, which you'll find is not carved in stone. Sometimes you just like the subject in a certain area, and if others agree, that's a bonus.

I might have moved the bloom away from the same-color one on the right, or shot from an angle that gave a darker background. I like to isolate the subject, again, not a fixed rule at all.

Good point on the EXIF:

Exposure: 0.02 sec (1/50)
Aperture: f/9.0
Focal Length: 100 mm
ISO Speed: 800

It was taken on the P program as it wasn't really a photo session, it was just a girl I visited who had the flowers in her window :-D
