I didn't check back as soon as I'd like. You did ask good questions (we don't always see that happen!) Thanks! #1. Should this be Cropped? - You could take a little off left and bottom, and then hear about how it's too centered. While focussing, I might try to not get as close to the edge as the right side of the blooms are. Otherwise, see #2 #2. Should I have tried a different angle? - Getting a diagonal composition can help with interest in a photo, and I believe makes a crop easier to decide. I think I'd have put the left side higher in the viewfinder, while still keeping the general bloom near the top, suggesting it has hanging space beneath it. #3. What should be done in PP on this? - A little, very little, extra contrast could add some detail (like in the pistil/stamen area). The softness of it as is looks fine, too.
