Small Flowers

I could not get the framing they way I wanted with my 50mm macro - so I grabbed a +1 close up filter and slapped in on my 100-300mm lens and backed up a bit.
There is something about this image that just doesn't work for me; I just cant say what it is.

I also tried to get the camera as close to the plane of the main flower as I could.

Sometimes less is more, and maybe there's so much in your shot, it's hard to appreciate what your subject is. You got the white of the petals without over-exposing - that's always good. The background is a shadowy black- that's usually good, too. Most everything is in good focus - for Macro, that might not be so good when there are so many petals and leaves.

The f25 is going to give you trouble. An f5 or f2.8 would be a good place to experiment from, adjusting speed and ISO to it.
Getting a shallow depth of field can isolate one good area of a Macro, and lets the viewer see sharp detail in a small portion of the photo. Not all Macros are that way - here it would help to put attention on one bloom, and leave suggestions of the rest in a blur.
