Plank

Needs bit of sharpening right? What else do you think does it need?

those macro extensions give you a lot of distortion... I thinks it's too distracting... apart from that, I like the texture, but maybe including some size reference might help notice how close to the wood you are shooting... perhaps an insect or something like that.

I think your idea is good, but you are a little limited by your gear (hey, who isn't?)

I agree 100% with your evaluation. I guess I can always crop out the non-focused areas. I was about 0.5-0.75 inch close to the wooden plank.

i think its a neat concept and does get ya real close... but yes, i agree that it is just too distorted...
