Hello,
I shot this photo at a whiskey presentation in a book shop; I like the reflections on the glass very much but I find distracting the hand in the right side. The photo was cropped to eliminate unnecessary details from around, but I did not want to crop it all the right side. What to you think it's best: to crop it so only the glass remains (and some of the left part), to try to remove the arm via photoshop (how), or another variant I did not think of?
EXIF info: Camera Nikon D5000 Speed 1/8 ISO 1600 Aperture f5.3 Focal length 160 mm

It looks to me like the shot is tilted just a tiny bit, and I find this really distracting. Could you adjust the 'horizon' to fix this? I find the arm on the right distracting as well. I would just crop it out and leave some 'empty space' on the left...see how that looks.
Nice dof and warm colors

oh, I just noticed the bookshelves refracted in the glass...really cool! On second thought, it might be better to try to clone out the arm in photoshop; the pic might look a bit unbalanced if you crop off the right side completely. I'm at a loss for *how* to do this, though

I would simply remember this lesson, and try to re-take the photo properly on the next occasion. Taking the time to "fix" things in photoshop will only get in the way of doing more photography.

rengles, thanks for the observation with the tilted glass, I haven't noticed before although something seemed wrong... I took time in the morning (about half an hour, plus half an hour to learn to properly use cloning in Photoshop), and the result looks like this
Picasa Web Albums - Cosmin Ionut - Semi selection sybren, agree with you, my goal is to use as less time as possible adjusting photos, but in this case it could not be helped without disturbing the other participant to the presentation... so I had no choice but to stick to the angle I had and shot the glass before the presenter emptied it

When you don't want to disturb people that are (nearly) in the shot, it'll get more difficult indeed. However, perhaps you could have moved more to your right, so that you get a different angle. Perhaps zooming in and moving back a little could have changed the shot enough so that the arm gets separated from the glass. There are plenty of things to try

Agree with you
I am a bit timid sometimes and that bothers me because sometimes I miss good shots like this one In this case my problem was that we sat on chairs and I was somewhere in the middle of the row, and could not stretch to have a better shot, without bothering my neighbors....and did not had the guts to go and blend with the photographers from the press. Well, sometimes one must break rules to get good shots
