Question What's wrong with this shot??

I like this pic but somethin doesn seem to measure up... cant put my finger on it..
wat do yo think abt this pic??

The foreground focus of the flower throws it off IMHO.

The first thing I notice is that the flower -- apparently the subject -- is almost entirely out of focus! There are a few distant petals that might be in focus, but otherwise, you have a huge out-of-focus subject. Effectively, none of the photo is in-focus enough to catch my eyes.

In addition, the background (sky?) is much brighter than the foreground and subject (flower), so my eyes are taken to the background instead of what I think was your intended subject.

Those are the first two things that I notice.

I'd have to agree with dcclark. It'd be better if the entire flower was in focus,...and if the right side of it wasnt slightly cut off. A simple fix as for the placement of the flower would be to probably take a step to the left. Or to shoot the flower looking down at it. That way you can set the focus on the middle of the flower and if the outside petals are a little out of focus then its still a good picture.
