I think the softer focus here is kind of fascinating, almost hynotic. Though I'd love to see the same shot with a really sharp focus right next to it to compare. You didn't supply the aperture, so it's difficult to make a really specific comment on DOF.

I couldn't give the aperture since I used a reverse ring and my camera doesn't record the aperture when I do so, but I think it was between f/2.8 and f/5.6.
