Hi Lynn,

This is lovely!! I'm no expert but I do love the balanced composition and how the colors complement each other. The only thing I would have done differently would be to increase the lighting and decrease the iso, to cut down on the noise..but maybe you were going for that effect? just a personal preference

Your stuff looks pretty good to me Thanks for posting and commenting. It was pretty dark and only thing I could do I did like the effect though although it wasn't on purpose

thanks again

Default Great composition!

I agree that composition is just fabulous! It is wonderful. However, I would have cut the ISO back to around 200-400 and increased the exposure compensation or maybe even used a flash. You lost some natural color saturation (I think) and I believe that it could really just POP if you did that. It would even bring out the detail in the pollen on the pedistals (or whatever they're called...) It just needs more brightness and color saturation and you might even be able to photoshop that in. But don't change the composition! It is perfect. I could easily see this photo gently watermarking a wedding invitation. It is lovely.

Thanks Rengles. It's really my first attempt ever at shooting flowers and using a true dedicated Macro lense. Just shoot and shoot till I get it right

thanks for commenting

pjmiller--Thanks for you comments. I didn't realize until I had processed it that the ISO was so high. Not sure what happened on that. I would agree with you on the backing off the ISO would have helped for sure. I'm actually going to go and shot again today and see if I can do a better shot. Just learning---but I'm thinking I like it.

thanks again
