Default Hanging Gems

Hanging Gems

This is one of my first Macro shots (taken earlier tonight)
It's of a lamp with fancy tassels in my house
This was the first shot I've taken without using the AUTO-ISO setting.

Camera: Panasonic DMC-FZ50
Exposure: 0.01 sec (1/100)
Aperture: f/3.2
Focal Length: 18.4 mm
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Off

- if anyone has any advice about ISO speed (which settings to use when) and camera stability (stopping shaking - without using a tripod), that would be great

Hi Mike,

I like the image and the DOF really works to draw you to the subject. Perhaps you could clone out the bit of lint on the bottom of the middle tassel. As far as ISO settings, for macro, the lower the better. If you're not using a tripod, perhaps you can use a towel or beanbag to stablize the camera against a wall or on a table.
