quite a good photograph. it can be much better if you had zoomed a little more bit the flower in the frame.

yeah i think i should have filled in the frame but was limited as i had a 50 mm lens and i couldnt go any nearer to the subject else it would not focus.

Default Good capture

Nice composition and lovely bokeh behind the flower. The stem on the right of the focused flower is a bit distracting, but nice all around

I'd say the OOF flower on the left is distracting. Have you tried cropping it out, giving you more of a square or vertical format?

PS - I think the flower is an iris.

Just for your info; the flower is called an Iris.

I am only a beginger, but I think that if you were to crop in on the Right Iris, putting it a little out of centre, darken the shadows a little, and increase the contrast, you would have a shot that would catch me better. That said though, I love the bokeh in the background!

P.S. do I have permission to try a little hand of PP on it?
