Hi there Jesseh,
First of all let me say "Welcome" to a great site and a super community, I really hope you enjoy your time here and just get stuck in ok. Now about your image, when I first tried to capture water droplets I did a lot of reading with regards to how others achieved their amazing images. I do ok but would not say mine are brilliant, now the first thing I notice is that the image is not just water droplets but a white mug and the whole thing at that on a white background, it detracts from your image. I wanted to see the droplets and not much else to be honest. I think you have captured them beautifully but your too far away for much in the way of detail. If you get time and want to, go have a look at mine on either of my site links and see what I mean. I think you have capturing them off to a tee but just need to think about getting in a lot closer and maybe experimenting with colours? I really hope your not put off by the lack of comments, don't worry folks on here like take their time. I look forward to seeing more of your work on here soon ok ![]() Take care and stick with it mate. Have Fun, David.

Hi Jesseh and welcome.
I agree with the others that the white background doesn't quite work, but what bothers me beyond just being white on white with the white cup is the blue-ish tinge to it. Also, with the right edge of the cup blown out (so white that there's no detail) it gets even further lost in the background. Also the two (or three) lights reflected on the front of the cup takes away from the composition. And were there drops above the lip of the cup, in the white area? In the future, it would help a lot if you include the EXIF data and some specific questions related to the effect you were going for. In other words, I'm not sure if the subject here is the cup, the drops (were the drops supposed to be floating up or dripping down), etc. |
