biggest thing for me is it's too dark. Use an adjustment layer using levels or curves to brighten it up

The dirty shell seems to be a bit distracting. Also, may try a different angle with the lighting. Good idea though.

I do agree that the pic is on the dark side. Here it is lightened up

The second image is a huge improvement. The only thing lacking are footprints leading off to the right!
You should know that shooting eggs against a white background is real challenge and many photo schools use it to help teach lighting, exposure and such. It forces you to use shading lest you get the "polar bear in a snowstorm" effect. (blank white page) You have done well here, grasshopper, you are now ready for your next challenge. |
