Default flebay flash kits?

Hi there..

Just recently ive been wanting to get more into lighting and i have around £300 to spend, now i already have one speed light (a sigma dg 530 super for pentax) wich i can trigger wireless with the pentax with ttl or on manual mode with another flash.
But i was looking around flebay and seen some cheep strobe/lighting kits like 3x 300watt studio strobes (with model light), light stands soft box's/umbrella's some gells and stuff as well as a bag to carry it all.

Now i know that these's wont be as good as some name branded stuff but would anyone think its a worth while investment to practice and learn with stuido strobes in the home or would i be better spending my money on something else?

I currently have a gx10, gf1 and d3 with diff lens.. the only camera i have a dedicated flash unit for is the gx10. (it would be nice to have one for the d3 tho) I dont have any light stands/soft boxs and other stuff.. so that's why the kit caught my eye.
Thank you for reading and for any help you wish to give.

Well, as always you get what you pay for...but paying "less" for an off-brand isn't necessarily bad. The biggest issue is going to be durability and the lights will be "weak", but they may suit you.

In the end, you may want to replace all of it if you pursue "studio lighting" further...The choice is your's. If you are unsure about following thru then maybe it's a smart "step"; if you are fairly certain you will at least want to keep a "usable basic kit", then it may be a waste.

sorry for the late reply .

What would you say was a good starting point for strobe power?, most of my glass is f2.8 or faster so i wouldn't need to goto f11 or more for better sharpness.

I was thinking 300watt strobes should be more powerful than my sigma speed light? But i guess when you add softbox's and stuff they will eat alot of that light.
