i know i've asked a lot of crazy lighting questions lately but everyone here is usually so helpful so i'll go for one more

so i have a collapsible 5 in 1 reflector and a tripod. is there a simple way to use the tripod to hold the reflector w/ some sort of armature attachment or something? just trying to maximize the equipment i have . thanks for any help!

I've used an A clamp to attach mine. Works like a charm! I have a bunch of these, but you can get something similar and cheaper at a hardware store probably. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...g_A_Clamp.html

I don't have my studio stuff set up at the moment, but I'll grab my tripod, reflector and a clamp and snap a pic of it for you a bit later.

The screw on your tripod is 1/4"-20. You can get a threaded connector that will allow you to bolt accessories to your tripod, including inexpensive spring clamps. A lot can be done with 1/2" or larger PVC or CPVC pipe and fittings for a very reasonable price. I will try to put together some photos for this thread, but am not off work till the weekend. Meanwhile, look in the tool and hardware section at your local home improvemant store (Home Depot or Lowes for me).

(if theres not much wind that is).
