I'm looking for a recipe of sorts. I want to photograph small gems and minerals as best as possible. I know there are professionally available "lightboxes" available for sale for this very purpose, but I also think I could probably make one with things I have laying around the house. Has anyone tried this before and can provide a list of equipment/materials used? Light dispersion makes all the difference for gems and jewelry.
Many thanks in advance for any replies! John

Inkista has a great option in her Flickr Stream: A white plastic Ikea trash can with flashes on the outside

Somebody else (sorry, I can't remember who) posted this in another thread.
Light Box / Light Tent Photo Gallery by Bill Huber at pbase.com Looks ok to me. Simple and cheap and you can make two sets of legs at different heights. Edit: it was loki1982 on How I shot it.
