Default Lighting Gear
Hey guys and gals,
I'm looking to either make or possibly buy a light reflectors or something to redirect light. I'm not a pro or play one on TV. My girlfriend wants me to take some pictures of her so I'm just trying to do a good job. Fingers crossed. LOL

Any ideas would be appreciated.

What kind of light? Sunlight? Flash from a Speedlite? Flash from the pop-up flash on the camera?

Aluminum coated Styrofoam insulation board is what the pros I know use. They try to find it free on the side of the road from construction projects. It's not expensive if you have to buy it.

thanks for the reply guys.
Sorry, i guess it would mainly use my speedlite 580EX II and sun light. I have a diffuser for the speedlite and know of a couple of tricks like bouncing of the roof etc...

If you want a simple reflector you can use white cardboard or foam core (the stuff they sell at craft supply stores). Cheap and they work fine but not recommended for windy days.
