Default little help attaching my flash with this trigger and umbrella mount

ok so i made a purchase of an umbrella mount and trigger system, but stupid me, they aren't a good match. i was going to get the cactus triggers (which would have fit perfectly), but these aren't as vertical so thought they'd be better with my heavy flash. i just saw that these receivers will not work at all with this umbrella mount at all.

the "ghetto-ness" in me will mostly likely try a cheap and ugly fix. maybe two velcro strips on the top edges of the mount and on the bottom of the receiver. whacha think?

(receiver on left, transmitter on right)

otherwise, i may need an adapter which i'm unsure which to get tbh. i assume some sort of cold shoe to screw adapter? *shrugs*

Here is all you need.

1/4" Tripod screw to Shoe Adapter for Nikon SC-28 SC-29 - eBay (item 250426314005 end time Aug-15-09 05:30:13 PDT)

BTW - I would not trust my lights to velcro

Yeah velcro to hold the flash onto the trigger very bad idea unless you are using some crazy industrial velcro. Also the camera onto camera idea also bad. The hotshoe/pentaprism housing was definately not designed to hold the weight of a camera/lens. You can very easily break something if you were not careful.
