You dont need triggers.
The pop-up flash from your D90 functions as a master when it is in commander mode. It can trigger the SB-600 flashes wirelessly without any kind of triggers.

This is true and I do use this functionality in controlled situations, however it is not flawless in sunlight because of the infrared.
I just purchased 3 Pocket Wizard Plus II and the cords to connect to the SB 600's. I will use all of this over the weekend. |

Flash Zebra has a bunch of hotshoe to PC adapters. The cool one is #0128, which is a hotshoe to minijack adapter. That way, you don't have to go out and buy a $20 minijack to PC cord, you can just head for Radio Shack and get a $3 mono 1/8" minijack cable instead.
The 1/8" minijack is the same connector you use with headphones to an iPod (only with a single channel connection instead of stereo). It's more robust and simpler than a PC connection, and it's the same connection that most triggers have, including the Plus IIs. BTW, I don't know if you're aware, but PocketWizard is going to be coming out with TTL-capable triggers for Nikon in the third quarter. If they're priced identically to the Canon units, they're about $60-$80 more apiece than the Plus IIs ($200/$220). They also mount directly to the hotshoes of both the camera and the flash (i.e., don't need adapters), and will be compatible with the Plus II. If you're interested in using i-TTL over radio, or having other CLS features like high-speed synch, rear-curtain sync, etc. available to you, you may want to strategize your PocketWizard purchases to include them.

You are correct inkista, those new pocket wizards are expected out this summer for Nikon. I did speak with a rep there today about them and I will more than likely upgrade to them sometime later. I bought 3 pocket wizard plus II's today from BH for $159 each. Not bad! I bought this adapter from Paramount Cords as recommended by the rep at Pocket Wizard I spoke to. It is a Buddy Bracket and comes with the cable attached. I'll let you know how I like them on Friday, that's when they arrive.

well, I received the PW yesterday, then today received the adapters. Not working! The PW's are transmitting and receiving per the led just fine, however the flashes are not firing. All is connected correctly per PW customer service and the Paramount guy. I'm sending the paramount adapters back...picked up a couple of hotshoe to PC adapters, not working either. I have to get this figured out before Sunday, any help??
