Default How would this Beauty Dish work?



Speedotron "Beauty Dish" Reflector - 22" 851240

It doesn't really explain on that page above, but would I attach this to one of my monolights or not? No clue... sorry for such as noobish question here...

They do attach to studio strobe via a speed ring. This one in particular fits: "It fits Black Line and the Brown Line M11 Flash Heads." according to the website. You would just need to ensure whatever you buy has the correct speed ring for your strobes or has a cold shoe for speedlights

Most beauty dishes I have seen have the strobe specific mounting ring incorporated into the dish itself so it can't be changed.

One of the drawbacks of some lighting kits, especially the more budget oriented kits, is lack of modifiers and/or proprietary mounting systems where few after market companies offer rings or modifiers.

Interesting details I'd have to look into this for my budget monolights!

you could try this one. it's what i use for pretty much everything and will be compatible with your speed lights.

This is an 18" salad bowl with a speedring attached & a junction box cover for a reflector
