Hi guys,
I was experimenting with flash gels with my Nikon D90 and I decided to make some DIY gels for my S95. When I was taking test shots, the gels worked as expected on the D90 (for example, set the WB to tungsten and use CTO; or set the WB to Fluorescent and use green). The photos seemed to be properly color corrected. However, when I did the same test shots with the S95, they turned out horriblly. The CTO gel was way too orange, and the green gel gave the shot a green tone. In fact, the S95 shots without a gel and set to either AUTO WB or tungsten/Fluorescent seemed to look as good as the gel shots on the D90. Does anyone know if the S95 WB setting is so good that having a gel on the flash just isn't practical? I can't imagine it's any better than my D90. Thanks.
