I don't know anything about that flash but as a general rule "you get what you pay for". Myself I'd rather buy good gear, even used good gear, and know I have something dependable that will last....used SB24/SB25s for example.

Thats flash looks to have no manual controle. I would not touch that one at all.

Thanks bhursey. I know brightness and distance are fairly important. But is the brightness control important for hairlight / dim light / kicker / background? How about 1 unit YN465, 1 unit YN560, and 3 unit the cheap ones? ;D

Yes it is important. I have a old flash that does basicly what the one you are describing. I never use it. Just buy either a used SB-24 28 or a YN flash. for all of them. You get what you pay for. I learned that erly on because I did the same thing.
