Hello!
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, sorry if it's not... I have a Nikon D7000 camera with 18-105 3.5-5.6 ED lens.No external flash. I need to make a photograph of a pretty fast moving object, at night, with street lights being my only light source. I suppose I need to use continuous shooting. But what other settings would you recommend me to use for this kind of shot? Thank you! |

For starters.
(1) Shoot RAW (as it will give you more control when PPing) (2) Aperture priority (or manual) (3) Maximum aperture Take what ever shutter speed you can get. If the lighting is more than you think then decrease your ISO and or aperture (depending on what you want to achieve) If you can't shoot at the desired shutter speed then you will need a faster lens. (your 18-55 is not a fast lens) See this tute. Lenses #6 - Fast lenses You may find you have problems using autofocus (camera needs to see contrast to the able to focus) so you may need to focus manually.
