Hey everyone. I have a few questions... please help!
Canon 7D. All TTL related questions 1. Why is it that in Av mode (which I never use), do both my 380EX and 540EZ stay at 1/250th even if I switch to HSS on the 380? 2. Why can I Not adjust the 540EZ in camera, while I can with the 380? In camera, the 380 will allow me to adjust all settings like output, 1st & 2nd shutter, etc while the 540 makes me do it all on the flash. 3. Why does it seem like the 540 does not play nice in TTL? It always seems to pump out full power, and even if I adjust the +/-, I get almost the same output? I usually shoot off camera and/or in manual mode, but I'm trying to understand how TTL can help me if ever needed. Thanks.

It probably "shows" the highest sync speed it can display when in high speed sync, not the "actual" speed.
The 540EZ is not digital compatible....It's manual only with digital. (it does not support E-TTL)

Thanks. so...
1. Whether I flip it to HSS or not, it always registers at 1/250. So are you suggesting that whether the camera needs to be at 1/250 or not, it will always just say 1/250? 2. (540EZ) So even though it has a TTL setting, TTL will only work with a non digital 35mm (to clarify) Thanks again
