Default Mounting a Huge Modifier on a tiny light

So I was having an issue. My 600 w/s strobe is just way too bright. Even dialed down, I could not get the light as close as I wanted. Now I could have ND gelled it, or put an ND filter on the lens, but I did not want to do either of those. My cheap little 180 w/s strobes are perfect, but there is no way they are going to hold up a 6' octabox. It was just too heavy for the cheap mounts on the strobe. I came up with the idea of mounting the box to the stand and having it support the light instead.

I mounted the box on an Alienbee speedring and then bolted a 4 screw style speedring to that. Then I just used a heavy L bracket and bolted it down to the screw mount on top of the light stand..... now I have a huge modifier on a little strobe.

Very Nice mod. Much cleaner than duct tape too.
