Hello all,
I am new to this forum and DPS, it is a great source for information. I am currently living in West-Africa, Mali and the light seems to be constantly changing. I read some of the latest "shooting in bright daylight" articles and was wondering if there are more to be find, either here or on an external website? Next week, I will be going on a shoot where there will be bright sunlight (no escape) and no use of (ND) filters...would bringing a white umbrella be a good option? Thanks for any input, appreciated! Assuming minimal gear / no flash: Put the subject between you and the sun, and expose for the face. If you don't want the background to blow out completely use something darker (like a tree line if there is one) as the background. Play around with some silhouettes, etc.
