i have one speedlight but the lighting setup I just bought (but wont have until tomorrow) is set up with bulbs. I am planning to eventually get another speedlight and use them exclusively.

Just add a speedlight and you are all set for a single light setup.
Phottix just announced their westcott rip off for $60 bucks..... hmmmm

figures I would find a deal cheaper than the used stuff I just bought....oh well. 65 euro is pretty cheap for over here. Brussels is sooo damn expensive. I get my lights tonight and will be playing with them this weekend.

Has anybody shot with one of those Phottix umbrella softboxes yet ? I'm wondering about quality and more importantly, have they made it so you can angle it sufficiently downward while on the light stand, something that the Apollo 28" suffers from. The photos of the inside of the Phottix model seems to show that there is little to no room for tilting the softbox downward at all. Hard to really tell from the photos.

Looks like you would need to slide the flash much closer to the inside of the softbox to be able to tilt..

I'm gonna agree with Brian on this one. It would be a limiting factor for the convenience. I doubt anyone has tried one yet as they only launched on the 4th. You could also use it on a stand that bends like a short boom, so you have the boom almost vertical and tilt the stand in the middle and leave the softbox alone.
