Yes, the light is a bit harder the but spread if about the same as a larger softbox. The smaller one doesn't wrap as much but it's nice for fill or a main if you have a certain look you're going for.
Thanks for the link. It was very informative. Am I weird because I desire some shadow? I actually preferred the way the light wrapped around the model with the smaller one myself.

Actually, that's what I love about photography, it is subjective and what one person likes, others don't. If we were all the same it would be really boring. It's also why we have varying opinions in the critique section.

Just bought the cowboy studio 24x24" version for $42 open box off ebay.



I plan on using it when my baby is born in a few months.
