I am using a Nikon D3100 with just the flash that comes on the camera. In the first picture I had the white balance set to florescent and in the second I'm pretty sure I had it set to flash. It was very dark in both rooms and I realize I didn't have enough flash but why are they blue?

what Rentham said.
If you shoot RAW (I hope you do) it's an easy fix in PP. Good luck! |

Or, you know, setting it to AutoWB and letting it take a stab at it. It's usually pretty accurate.

play with different white balances in one consistent light source. once you learn what colour temperature works in what conditions, your pictures will stop looking so blue. a fix for now is taking it into a software and warming the temperature up until it looks more natural.
