If you use enough light (strobe or speedlight) and a fast enough shutter speed to kill the ambient light, it will not be a problem. The max sync speed on a D70 is 1/500, so it is great for killing ambient light. Just use a different light source like strobes.

if you wanted to use ambient street lighting you could set a custom white balance.

6. LOW PRESSURE SODIUM VAPOR (1900 - 3000ºK) sources should be outlawed. Their average color temp hovers around 2100K, they have a really awful yellow cast with a hearty green component. These are the lights you find in parking lots, some factories and the yellowy street lights.

7. HIGH PRESSURE SODIUM VAPOR (5100 - 7000K) lights are used in warehouses, factories, stadiums and other huge spaces that need to be filled with light. They are also commonly used in exterior locations for illuminating signs and buildings. They also spit out plenty of UV and green. Common correction for COLOR TEMP: 81 or 82 series for minor color temp adjustments using filters, and 1/8 or 1/4 CTO or CTB gels placed on the light source.
DP Review

Like Zona said, you'll need set a custom white balance or correct in post. If you are using a flash, you'll need to gel it.
