Question HELP, mixed color tinting in my images.

So I took pictures of my sister in her white dress outside in an open field. I used an electronif flash and it was in the late afternoon. My sister is blue in color, while the background is a warm red and some yellow. Why?

What could I have done in that situation to make my sister look better and not blue.

The color temperature changed. Your flash is calibrated for daylight. So what you would of needed to do is say put a color conversion gel like a cto gel over your flash to balance the color of the light.
