Default Green screen lighting & photography

I recently purchase a green screen background. Can anyone give me any tips for success? I plan on downloading some digital backgrounds and giving it a shot. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I have tried a little, I have a 6'x9' green screen, it's hard getting the lighting right. Wrinkles were hard to deal with, as in they cast their own little shadows (I'm sure easier with proper lighting) which make more work in photoshop. I kinda gave up on it for a while at least until I can get a good light set up.

Evenly lit background is the key.... you want it all the same color, not varying shades. Also, keep your subject as far from the background as possible. They will pick up any reflected light, giving them a sickly green coloring. Also watch the clothing. Obviously no green, but I was amazed when a blue jacket had dots missing all over the place when I separated the background from the image. Seems some blue shares some of the green tint as well.
