Default beauty dish

lit with a bd and an octobox for fill, a gridded soft box for a hair light and a gelled light for the background. I should add another bg light as you can see I didn't get color sateration on the far side...

this section is for the discussion of lighting, not just for questions or critiques - i was sharing a shot and the lighting set up behind it. But if you like, feel free to discuss how you might have lit it differently...

The exif:
1/60sec @f8 ISO 200
I didn't take an exact pic of the set up but this is very close...the difference, no reflector and the background light was at 5' off the ground to the left, 40 degree grid and a gel. The BD has a modifier on it as well, a translucent diffuser and a 20 degree grid.
My lighting ratios:
BD =1
Octo=1/2
HL=1/2
BG=1

Sorry, I wasn't sure. Some on the forum aren't great with english and end up with odd sentence-question things that don't make sense.

It looks really nice.

2 things I'd look into for next time:

1.) a little more fill from below, maybe just a reflector -- I don't like the shadows in the neck. Sometimes the definition and sculpting of edges is good, but for most women, I prefer to smooth things out and make them look wrinkle-less. They probably do too.

2.) I don't like the blue of the background reflecting on the sides of the face. It looks too cold.
