Default Ebay Backdrops and Lights - Any good?

Hi there - I've been playing around with some basic off camera flash using a Yong Nuo 460 and a Jessops 360 AFD triggered by an iShoot. I've got to the stage where I want to get hold of a backdrop to do some portraits and of course, Ebay is my friend..

I've come across these items and wondered if they'd be complimentary to the set up I've got so far. I realise that there's no adjustment on the lights but I guess I'd set the lighting ratios by using distance and/or getting a power differential by using one of the flashes.

I'm also in the market for a meter and was considering the Sekonic L308B, of which there's a few on Ebay. Any thoughts on that for studio based stuff?

Thanks for your help.
Gary

For single subject head and 3/4 portraits I think it would be fine. The backdrops are on the small side for full length or multiple subjects, though.
