Default Light bulb what kind for at home lighting do you use

I have at home lighting as I mentioned in the previous thread. Currently I use a clamp light with some white kite fabric over it as a diff. I use bulbs that are 5500K.

Is this the best bulb I should be using if I have to take the lights to a clients home? I bought them at Lowes I think they are Bright effects or something like that.

Also, I have the hardest time with my second light on placement. I know the first one goes at 45 degrees to client so where does the other go or do they both go at 45 degree on each side? Now that it's winter I'm back inside...

The 5500 degree bulb should be fine...it provides daylight color balance. My only question is does it give you enough light to get a decent fstop and shutter. If so, that is great. You may want to use some window light as either your main or fill then use your bulb light as the fill or main. The bigger you can make that diffuser the softer the light will be. It will also mean you may need to move it in closer as you are spreading it out more. On placement, there isn't a hard rule that one light is at 45. It is pretty common but really you want to be looking at the shadows that are being created. The shadows will also help guide your 2nd light. You want some shadow as it gives the viewer a sense of dimension but the harder/deeper shadows are not flattering. I hope some of that helps.

also with continuous lights since your can't turn them up or down (usually) you control the power by either difusing them or changing the light to subject distance...
