What’s Your Preference?

hl all, i have the chance to buy either a studio flash light set or continuous lighting set to do portraits with a back drop but i have never used either so which 1 would be better ? Regards Steve.

Well, if you plan on never going on-location to shoot, either one would work. But, if you are EVER going to go on-location, then the flashes are the way to go. Personally, I have both. But, I mainly use the speedlights because they're easier to move around. I only use the cont' boxes for video work...

thanks for your quick response yes i am going to move around to different venues to take pictures of people with disabilities at group meetings and so forth where my daughter goes so flash is the way to go thanks regards steve.

i like peedlights (typo but it stays lol) and umbrellas better than continuous lighting. More convenient for travel and some of those lights can get quite hot.

Correct me if I am wrong but you are not referring to small flash that is external to your camera, but studio strobes, i.e., Alien Bees or such?

sorry ha ha im refering to studio flash with umberellas and soft boxes sorry i never thought to mention they are proline300x x2 i know they are not a top set but they seem good enough on reviews frgards steve.
