Lightbulb Question about self portrait with a bookmark light

Do you ever did a thought to use a self portrait with a bookmark light to make a cool effect for your self portrait?

I do know bookmark will be low lighting and my question came into my mind to ask you something.

While his grammar is off-key it is still evident his question.
To answer, it will be very low lighting. I probably wouldn't try it unless you have a really bright book light, but if you tripod it and do a longer exposure it will work.

Good idea... but make sure you use a tripod and probably Bulb or +1 second exposures. You might also try lighting a match and shooting a self-portrait holding it (in the dark, of course). Also, try a sparkler (just don't hold it close to your face). There are lots of ideas for shooting low light self/portraits.

Show us your results when you have experimented.
