Are you shooting in RAW? If so, you can (easily) correct this WB issue. Totally normal. Try the different settings in LR (Flash may work best but I find Auto works quite well most of the time). Then you can fine tune to taste.
The last one you shot looked better (still too warm) but the background was slightly over-exposed. The problem you're having has nothing to do with your exposure or your contrast. It's a WB issue for sure. |

another thing to think about is what color mode you have your camera set to. I was shooting in Vivid and found that my skin tones were too red. See if you're in Vivid.
