Hello all I hope that y'all are having a good day.
I have a questions for you. I am a student at Texas Tech but also do some rodeo photography on the side. I was looking into buying some lights that I could use to help with some of my pictures. I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on what kind of lights would be and a good price for them. Thank you, Richard Kinsey

You would likely not be allowed to use lighting during an event. I would recommend some strong hotshoe flashes, likely SB-900/580EX/AF540 or something. Plus some radio triggers/lightstands to get them off camera. I would shoot cross lighting, that is, flashes on opposite sides of the event aimed at the middle.
