Need suggestions for a beginning project

Have a Canon 450D - I sold a picture and ended up with some extra bucks, so decided to purchase 2 Yongnuo YN 467 flash, stands, umbrellas and a Yongnuo RF-602 wireless trigger/receivers...

Should be coming shortly - would anyone have some suggestons as to how I can use these in a little project - something that will get me to use them in a unique/different manner? - I've never done portraits before - perhaps ?? I just wanted to expand and see what more I could do with some off-camera lighting.. I've mostly done macro/landscape stuff, but wanted to 'stretch' a little...

Anyone have a creative suggestion?

Take em outside on a sunny day... You'll have to get them close to the subject to compete with the sun.
