I came across this web site with yet another DIY bounce card tutorial. I like how the guy also thought to use the bounce card as barn doors or flags.
Wasn't doing anything special today so I made a few new bounce cards. ![]() ![]()

Yeah, I'm thinking of doing something similar--a bit wider, though, to cover the sides of the flash: I've laminated black and white art foam sheets together with spray adhesive before, and using the white side for those times when you have no bounce surface, and using it white side out/black side in for flagging off Neil van Neikerk-style is something I'm considering.
You'll note these days that the product photo for the Honl speed snoot shows using it this way. And the advantage over the 3x5 bounce card is that the size of the light is bigger, and therefore softer.
