Hi all!
Im pretty new to photography and have only started getting really seriouslly into it the past few months. (its also my first post here! ) I've noticed that a lot of the pictures that i take at home when its dark turn out yellow toned. How can I prevent this? It ruins my pictures and makes them look very unpleaseant! So I've tried: using the flash--> it makes the picture looked all washed out and BLEGH Using 'night mode' --> doesnt make much of a difference....just yellow toned AND blurred ISO --> ive tried increasing the ISO to max of 1600, but that made it 1600x worst! with the yellow turning an almost bright red-orange!! Using a 'faster' lense? --> i thought maybe using a faster lense would make it work better? Because of the speed it was catching the light? I dont know...like i said im pretty new to this stuff ( I heard faster lenses work better in low light settings...though I could be wrong?) I'd appreciate any hints and tips! Zahra |

Change your white balance
Try either the one that looks like the lightbulb or the one that looks like a bar with little lines coming out of it (it depends what kind of lights you have, which one will work better). Your manual should tell you how to change it.
