Default Very misty evening shots...

... Last night on my way home from work at around 4pm (UK). The fields near my work were looking amazing, a low mist that you could see for miles covering the fields. Unlucky for me I didnt have my tripod with me BUT the same forecast for late this afternoon and have my tripod and camera with me.

In the past I have had trouble with low light photography as my A200 does not seem to deal with noise that well. So does anyone have any suggestions on how I should take this shot, I'm thinking around F8, shutter of about 1 to 2 secs on around ISO 200/400...the only thing am really struggling to think of is the white balance setting.

Advice is greatly appreciated.

If you have the tripod, push the iso down to 100 to help cut the noise, and run the shutter to around F11 or better unless you are trying to focus on a particular area of the field(s)..
Does the camera have noise reduction in camera?
Do you have a remote shutter that you can use?

Yes it has a NR function, which is always on to be honest but no remote shutter but could put it on timer....

Will go for the ISO 100 and aperture at F11, infact may stick it in Aperture priority and stick it on F11.

Hi Neil
Yes the A200 isn't great for noise is it? - but the Remote socket is the one on the left side of the body, erm, under the flap labelled "REMOTE" I know it doesn't come with one but just search for "remote shutter release for A200" - there are various options.

Gotta go, blizzard here!
