it looks very very cold. I find myslef just sitting and looking at this blankly. What i fond myslef looking at moslty is the foreground and am not so sure thats what I should be looking at as the sky and the sillouette of the trees are so delightful.
I think its just too early for me

It's funny, I find myself seeing these soft, smoky scenes and snapping a picture only to find that they just don't look right. They're just too dull. I play with them in an editor and can't seem to get the mood of the scene. After playing with this one, I have managed to retain the haziness and colors of the background, while adding some pop and interest to the foreground. At the same time, the foreground haze is lost.

I have a lot to learn.

Longer exposure and smaller aperture?

I'm not sure if the above is positive critique or constructive. Are the black stares good or bad? :-)

Are you asking how I took this one? If so, then here you go:

I handheld the camera using the Sigma 18-200mm Optical Stabilized lens.
The exposure was 1/30 at f5, focal length 63mm. ISO 100. EV -0.7. I then did a little adjustment to the lighting and levels in Photoshop. Added some sharpening to finish up. I can't remember if I did any saturation adjustments.
