Default Frozen Tree

We've had some freezing rain here in the Midwest. Frozen tree anyone? What are your thoughts?

Definitely need to get in closer for these. At rhis distance it just looks like a tree. Daylight will probably help. Can't wait for the rest!

Hi,
It's hard to see the ice at this distance. Especially at night. If possible, try to get shots with a streetlight or some other light source behind the tree. Without using your flash, this will highlight the ice and create a halo effect upon any branches in focus. Use a tripod whenever possible and also try to shoot the whole tree. That way the tree doesn't appear to spring from the edge of the frame. Most of these tips are from other members. I myself, love to take pics after icestorms. Most of the ones I have taken at night, turned out alot worse than yours. We are supposed to get another ice storm tomorrow. I can't wait to try some more night shots. This will be the first chance I've had to use any of the tips I've picked up on this forum. I hope this is helpful.
