If the weather or atmosphere is not cooperating (cloudy, foggy, drizzly, etc.), most of us decide "it's not a picture day" and put the camera away or don't venture out. Your photo is the perfect example of how that is wrong thinking. It's almost always the fog, haze, storm, or other phenomena that makes an otherwise normal photo into a masterpiece.

I agree, super shot. Only one little item: If possible, I'd have waited for the bird to the north to come out from the mountain into the sunset. I also am interested in the processing.
